Revelation 12:1-2
This passage is a vision from the Book of Revelation, describing a mysterious, celestial woman who represents the Virgin Mary, Israel, or the Church. She is engaged in a cosmic battle against evil, symbolizing the triumph of God’s plan over darkness.
Biblical Passage: Revelation 12:1-2 (KJV)
"And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered."
Dalí’s Interpretation in Sacra Biblia
Dalí’s depiction would likely emphasize the mystical grandeur of the vision, with surreal celestial landscapes, radiant divine imagery, and a cosmic battle between light and darkness. His unique blend of spiritual symbolism and dreamlike abstraction would make this one of the most striking and powerful images in his Sacra Biblia series.
