The Biblia Sacra works are a combination of offset lithography, continuous tone lithography, serigraphy (silkscreening) with application of varnishes and metallic inks. Exodus 20:1-2
“And God spoke all these words:
‘I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.’”
(Exodus 20:1-2)
This is the opening declaration of the Ten Commandments. It is a direct statement from God, affirming His identity and His relationship with the Israelites. It reminds them that He is the God who delivered them from slavery in Egypt.
Dalí’s Interpretation in Sacra Biblia
Dalí would make the divine presence and power feel infinite and boundless. His surreal style would bring out the timeless and mystical nature of God's identity, using abstract light, distorted spaces, and dreamlike landscapes to emphasize that this is not just a statement, but a cosmic event that transforms reality itself.
